Since 2015, we’ve been proud to support children and young people from a wide range of backgrounds. Over the years, we’ve seen just how much high-quality tuition can transform a student’s education. Our dedicated tutors are passionate about teaching, helping students achieve better results while building their confidence and love for learning.
About Step Forward Tuition
All of our tutors are educated to degree level and have completed specialist training in their subjects. We offer face-to-face tuition in a wide range of areas, including:
• GCSE Maths, English and Science
• SATs (SPaG, reading comprehension, arithmetic and maths reasoning)
• 11+ preparation
• English as a Second Language (ESOL)
• Functional Skills
• KS1, KS2 and KS3 support
Unlike many other centres, all of our sessions are in person. There’s no learning from a screen or simply completing homework during lesson time. We believe this personal approach gives every child the support, focus and encouragement they need to truly succeed.
All of our tuition sessions have a maximum of 8 students per class. Smaller group sizes create the perfect balance, they allow for meaningful topic discussions, encourage peer learning, and still give tutors the time to personalise each session to every student’s needs.
We understand that some students can feel a little nervous about joining a group session and meeting new people. At Step Forward Tuition, we have a strict anti-bullying policy and work hard to make sure every student feels safe, happy, and confident.
If your child doesn’t feel comfortable speaking up during a session, they can simply write their question down. The tutor will then answer it in the next lesson, completely anonymously, so no one ever feels left out.
If your child ever needs a bit of extra help or starts to fall behind, our tutors are more than happy to provide additional one to one support when needed.
We do everything we can to create a personalised, supportive, and welcoming learning environment where students can grow in confidence and achieve the grades they deserve.
